Our History

The core principles of Jarcel Electrical were formed over four decades ago in the Australian Army where founder Rob Jacobs began his electrical training. This also set the foundations for his innovative approach to problem solving, being forced to use limited resources, in challenging situations, and in remote environments.

Fast forward 20 years and after decades of working as an electrician and manager Rob, aka Jake, started Jake’s Technical Services in 2006. As a ‘one man band’ Rob, supported by his wife Clare, prided himself on delivering high quality electrical solutions that met each client’s requirements and didn’t break the bank.

By 2011 Jake’s Technical Services, often trading as JTS, had grown into a successful commercial electrical contracting business. JTS was a trusted provider of commercial electrical installation and maintenance services across South East Queensland.

​

Servicing bigger projects with a larger team of electricians, Rob began giving back to the electrical industry through the development of a number of apprentices.

​

Offering niche services such as building management systems and access and security controls, JTS developed a reputation as electrical contractors who could be trusted to deliver a quality service.

​

In 2020, amid global changes caused by COVID-19 and staff changes, Jarcel Electrical was born.

​

Now supported by a robust team of licensed electricians, finance, administrative and management specialists, customers continue to turn to the Jarcel Electrical team when an innovative solution to a complex or unusual commercial electrical project is required.

No matter what the trading name is, innovation, quality and trust will always remain founding principles that shape whatever the team do.
